New Internet Induction Contains Juicy Bits
Recruitment Academy’s new e-nduction training course has hit the Internet and has a refreshing twist. The Academy has teamed up with Recruitment Juice, one of Britain’s most exciting new recruitment training ventures to include web clips from their dvd training package ‘The Juicy Bits of New Business’.
“We investigated the option of filming our best facilitators to incorporate video footage in our online training product but after researching the marketplace in Australia, UK and the United States, Recruitment Juice’s product impressed us so much that we decided to incorporate Juicy Bits within our online product,” says Michael Dimopoulos, Managing Director of Recruitment Academy.
Produced by The Edge, voted ‘Production Company of the Year’ at the 2007 New York Film Festival, ‘The Juicy Bits of New Business’ tells the inspirational tale of a fictitious recruitment agency while leading industry experts offer their view on how to run a successful desk by building new business. It all comes out like a refreshing cocktail - three parts The Office and one part Open Learning.
The videos are used to spice up the e-nduction, the complete Internet-based version of the Academy’s current induction course, which has been approved as a component of the Recruitment and Consultancy Services Association’s (RCSA) MRCSA accreditation program.
The e-nduction covers everything required to ensure that all Academy graduates have the edge to become a success in the recruitment industry. The five modules include:
- Understanding the industry and your role as a recruiter;
- Sourcing business and working effectively with clients;
- How to run an effective recruitment process;
- Selection and planning for success and
- Legislation & the RCSA Code of Conduct
While the Academy’s course is completely electronic, the addition of these “juicy bits” ensures that the e-nduction will not lack the essential contact with recruitment industry professionals, which has made the Academy’s courses so popular within the industry. Trainees will be able to experience role plays such as making impact-driven opening calls, carrying out client visits, taking a thorough job brief, preparing and planning for success, building a successful attitude and much more, all through the savagely entertaining Recruitment Juice clips.
Michael believes that the partnership between Recruitment Academy and Recruitment Juice will add some extra zing to his course, which has already garnered industry acclaim. Through the Academy, Michael is making ‘The Juicy Bits of New Business’ available to the recruitment industry at large. Michael has partnered with Recruitment Juice to distribute the dvd course within Australia and New Zealand. He believes is the perfect tool for those who like the flavour of the academy’s course and want to further develop their business.
“We will still continue to facilitate face to face inductions on and off site right across Australia,” says Michael, “but this initiative is responding to the ever increasing demand of our clients requesting skilled, pre inducted, savvy “recruiters to be” without having to carry the cost of having their consultants away from their desks for a number of days.”
Set up just two years ago, Recruitment Academy has already been hailed the leading induction and placement service available for recruitment consultants entering the recruitment industry here in Australia. The Academy has inducted hundred’s of candidates, both new recruits into the industry and working recruitment consultants keen to enhance their skills in this ever-evolving market.
